So far, my most complex, extensive and complete work related to games is “Stream Maze“. It is an addictive puzzle game in which the player tries to make paths for streams in order to make them reach all the power generators.

Stream Maze” features over 120 levels, 6 characters, each one with its own distinctive abilities, four different maps, two different winning goals and much, much more.

Stream maze (2016-2017)

I co-designed, made and published the Stream Maze, a puzzle type 2D/3D game for Android devices during 2016 and 2017, together with my brother. Actually, the very first ideas came up somewhere in 2015. However, I was just a young high school boys, and my brother went to a University in a galaxy far, far away

So, we had brainstorming sessions mostly online, and almost all the hard work we could do during school holidays. In spite of that, we made it, and published the game at Google Play in August 2016. We updated it few times in the winter 2016-2017. The game is still there, and can be played at most mobile devices, although I know it needs lot of improvements. We consider to make a new version, and it might happen in some near future.

Six characters

The six characters help player to cope with the challenges with their specific abilities: Robot can turn switches on and off, Lizard can get more building blocks, Witchdoctor can start a current from selected filed, Snowman can freeze currents, Mushroomspider can make current invincible, and Elf removes all obstructions. I am proud I co-designed all these characters with my brother, and then I made 3D models and animations all by myself. Of course I know all that could be much better, yet It was hard work done in a very limited timeframe many years ago.

Background maps

Several background maps work as different universes in the game. The game looks, feels and works in a slightly different way depending on the universe that these maps represent.

For this game, I designed, modeled and animated 6 characters who are players’ companions. Each of them has special and distinctive abilities which are useful in game.

The game initially featured 2 themes (worlds) represented with 2D maps, each with 40 levels. Later on, we added one more map with additional 40 levels, and eventually the game ended up with several different maps with more than 120 levels. I designed and made, combining in 2D and 3D techniques, all elements for all themes and levels, and also co-designed user interface.

The game has in-game purchasing option for unlocking new companions to play with, or to boost existing powers, to buy more levels, or to buy more lives.

Finally, I made all material that was necessary for publishing and marketing the game, which included 3 short presentational movies, lot of images for Google Play Store and for marketing campaigns at some Facebook and Google AdWords, and also several short tutorial movies for posts at social networks. Some of them are still there.
